What began as a small local operation—drilling wells for neighbors and friends using an A‑frame setup powered by an old Case tractor and hauling supplies on a hay wagon—quickly earned a reputation for dependable service, hard work, and honest craftsmanship. Henry’s dedication shaped the company’s identity for decades, setting the foundation for the high standards customers still experience today.
As demand grew, Henry continued improving his equipment, and in 1971 he built his own pounding machine from a converted hay baler. In 1982, his son Richard Peters took over the business, continuing to serve many of the same local families while expanding the company’s capabilities and reach. The Peters family’s commitment to integrity and quality workmanship remained at the heart of every project.
In 2005, ownership transitioned to Albert Oostenbrink, who upheld the company’s strong values while modernizing equipment, updating drilling practices, and strengthening customer service. Under Albert’s leadership, Peters Well Drilling continued to serve residential, agricultural, and commercial clients with the same reliability the company was built on. The business later operated under Southern Irrigation, ensuring continued growth and stability.
During this period, Darren Guliker joined the team in 2018 as an apprentice under Albert. Working closely with an experienced driller, Darren gained hands‑on knowledge in geology, drilling techniques, well construction, customer communication, and long‑term well performance. His apprenticeship deepened both his technical skill and his appreciation for the company’s long‑standing values.
In 2021, Darren—now a Certified Water Well Driller—purchased Peters Well Drilling Ltd., marking the beginning of a new era rooted in tradition but strengthened by modern capability. Today, as a family‑run local business, we take pride in providing dependable water well solutions throughout the Fraser Valley and surrounding areas. Every project is approached with honest service, quality workmanship, and meticulous attention to detail.
To meet the diverse needs of residential, agricultural, commercial, and specialty applications, we operate two specialized drilling systems. Our track‑mounted sonic drill is ideal for exploratory drilling, monitoring wells, and smaller‑diameter water wells, offering exceptional accuracy and minimal ground disturbance in challenging conditions. For larger wells and more complex geology, our truck‑mounted dual rotary drill constructs 6‑inch and 8‑inch wells with efficiency and reliability, excelling in the sand, gravel, cobbles, and mixed formations common throughout the Fraser Valley.
